Description

Okay, now listen, you! I know I'm famous for not showing you ALL of ANYthing, so here's a collection of images that show long views and horizons and vistas and all the "ALL" you could ever hope to see! Enjoy it today, because the rest of the images I'm going to be showing you of this place in the weeks to come probably won't show you all of anything! LOL! On Saturday I had a wonderful opportunity to take a private tour of this fabulous garden. My sister-in-law is friends with the woman who is the genius behind MooseRidge Gardens, so Cindy and Ann and I got to go out and spend a lovely afternoon having lunch and visiting and wandering through the gardens. Ann spent all her time asking questions and talking plants and soil conditions and whatever else rabid gardeners talk about with each other, and I spent all my time taking pictures. Ummm ... something just under 300 shots, I believe. MooseRidge has around 18 or 19 acres of garden area, and believe me ... it's gorgeous! Here's a link for those of you who just eat this stuff up with a spoon: MOOSERIDGE GARDENS Zoom is good on this one.

This is a beautiful place; where someone has put a lot of work into. A friend at work has a place MUCH like this place.. house looks quite similar even.. but she has a waterfalls in the back.. man-made of course, and all of her kai fish are there.. and lily pads, etc... water plants all over.. a real dream of a place. I'll bet you had a wonderful time here!!!

These are stunning pictures, and I love your narrative description. This is a superb collage and yeah, I'd have had fun taking pictures of things there as well...though yeah, garden talk would have sounded as strange to me as that distinctly non-English language the native populations speak in Papua, New Guinea. I love the greenery, the varied shades of it woven so elegantly through your collage. This is superb work. Now I have to figure out if there's anything in Chicago that's this pretty! AH...we do have a Japanese Garden, but it isn't very Japanese.
