Description

Sometimes I simply do not understand humans, if I had not been sitting on the porch chances are that this little guy would not have lived too long...he is probably about 4-5 weeks old and doesn't even weigh a pound! So this is my newest rescue:-) I watched this guy take a paper bag into the vacant field across the street and leave it and I saw it was moving so I went to investigate and heard these little yips so I opened the bag to find this little guy inside and brought him home. He absolutely loves me and he captured my heart too...of course! I don't like pit bulls but I can't let him die :-) so this is Tanner my new baby...I am typing with one hand because he is curled up in my arm asleep, lol, and its 4:20 am!...geez whats a girl to do...he wants to be on me constantly and this can't go on with the 4 am stuff but for now I will oblige, he is just too little not to...:-) ***I should have clarified, its not the dog I don't like, its the hair, I am a fluffy dog kinda person but this little guy will get every bit of love I have even if he was hairless:-)*** This is a temporary test avatar...Thanks for looking and for previous comments and favs!

He is a cutie, yes I agree with the right owner he will be fine,I do not understand why people dump them, surely it would be better to take animals to a rescue centre-rather than have the GUILT OF DUMPING THEM.shame on them.love to see more pics as he grows-bless all animals.Xx

Some people do it with their own children, too! You're right, people are hard to understand.....dogs, on the other hand are pretty straight forward and i know for as long as you're together he'll have a blessed life: )

Bless your heart for being you. What you do is amazing!! Tanner is such a beautiful puppy. Pittbull or not, he needs love, dogs are not born nasty or agressive it is the way the owners bring them up. Pittbulls are loyal and friendly dogs. I hope Tanner will find a good and loving and caring new home if you can not keep him. Thank you for looking after him, he will reward you with uncontionally love.

What a cutie. As said above, pets give unconditional love - I heard recently a priest say, on the blessing of the animals day, that this is a direct expression of god's love. If one believes that then it follows that those who cruelly reject that, reject god, and so embrace evil and leave their humanity. Their deeds speak for themselves. My hugs to you two, fellow humans, with love - tim

I wasn't too keen on pit bulls either until I got one when he was 4 weeks old. I tried for the longest time not to like it but, you know what? He turned out to be the most loving and caring friend I ever had. I have never said no to a rescue and never will. We once rescued a puppy tossed in a dumpster on SuperBowl Sunday. Someone had run over it with a car, didn't want to mess with it so they threw it away. I heard the whimpers from the closed dumpster outside and brought it in. After 2 weeks of treatment from the vet, we found a great home for it. Some people do not value life I guess...

A wonderful doggie and capture, Lynn. I share your feeling about human behaviour. Many humans are evil and respectless nowadays. Especially when it comes to respect for animals. It is wonderful to hear you made the choice of caring for him, when others failed. Pittbull or not... species does not matter.. An intelligent owner, will turn it into an intelligent dog..regardless of his species.... And an idiot.. will turn any dog into an idiot dog... I feel certain that Tanner will be raised with love, to be a good and peaceful dog. He is very cute too... i know you will give him your best.+5
