The Silberhorn_ for Robert (bebert) by KarmaSong
Open full image in new tabDescription
This is for you Robert, knowing you are a mountaineering fanatic, this Silberhorn summit in the Swiss Alps had been spotted and cherished by J.R.R. Tolkien as he was camping near Mürren in 1911 as "the Silvertine of my dreams".

Unspeakably beautiful and breath-taking.... I would give anything to be present to such a remarkable and sublime mountainscape! Tremendous colours, and so very dangerous, yet most certainly magnificent and splendid!

LOL, Jean-Luc, often I have to look twice to see if it's a Bryce render or a true photo .. your Bryce work so very realistic! A beautiful photo .. and I love that you pointed out that this peak was a particular favorite of Tolkien's. He is a favorite author.
