re rendered this at higher quality :) was going to take 30 hours!!! so sat down and worked otu better render settings and it took 4 hours 22 mins instead! ;) (see my latest tutorial for details) much better anti-aliasing now! A nautiloid battleship group in the Phlogiston, en-route to some poor unsuspecting world of Humans to enslave... based on Spelljammer, a fantasy space setting for D&D :)

Nice presentation, but these ships are way too clean for pirate ships. A few battle scars and laser hit marks in the texture would make them more pirate ships than pleasure yachts ...
