Description
Using a heightfield load shader and a World Machine generated terrain. Somehow the trees in the foreground didn't render, though the camera was well within the population bounding box. So I cropped that part out.
Suggestions always welcome, for I still know very little about TG2.

Fantastic work! Well Done!

I think sometimes when the displacements are set too high in the base color, you may experience this problem. Try hooking your population to the last layer rather than the default (compute terrain). Then, you may also try to use a distribution shader; or, the 'Painter shader' to see if the tree will show up.

Wow! It is truly extra ordinary. 5+!

Yeh, similar to Bob's reply, the bounding box can seem to be in the right place (i.e. you can't see the near boundary line because it seems to be behind your camera). However, when you raise that bounding box to the height of the terrain where you want your trees (it normally sits at y = 0, and you usually only enter the x and z co-ordinates to determine the area of your pop)you may witness your bounding box appear to move back. So, check the extent of the bounding box at the height you want your trees to satisfy yourself that it's in the right place.

Lovely image Rich ! The low fog adds a lot to your beautiful terrain ! Excellent work !

Very similar to both Bob and WeeLaddie's comments - er, without the technical stuff. Well, bottom line (cropped or not) - it looks photographic to me. So there!

Ashton and Demi live over that ridge. I have had the same problem and it can be frustrating. I could even see my population, but it would be under the main viewable terrain, down on the infinite terrain. I do like this though and it was your work with World-Machine 1.25 that inspired me to purchase it 3 1/2 years ago.
