Hello !
Today I venture posting a watercolor. I try to paint sunflowers, as you see. Unfortunately my scanner insists to show the colors of the flowers more orange than they are and the background almost disappeared. The original is not quite as orange ad this. But the clarity is best on a scanner, I think.

Yes!! Helle!: wonderful water colour!! i love this completely!And you know i can see faces drewed into your flowers?It´s fascinating when i zoom..they are "flowers of sun" and i can see your washes of colour melding into one another so simply!!And the vase is marvelous..the way you paint it .. transparent and deep..This is alive, Helle and so fresh!This is a great piece!

This is so beautiful, Helle! The sunflowers are cheerful and make me smile. But what I really love about this painting is the way you did the vase! You know how much I like glass (and how much I like your watercolors!) and the way you've done the reflections in that blue glass is like music to my soul. Gorgeous!

exquisite, shimmering, the flowers are made of light, you've used the watercolor paper so beautifully, allowing it to seep through the hues like lights; and you have your usual delicate touch, your way of painting as if you were 'thinking' the paints onto the page as much as painting them...even the background pinks & greens (behind the flowers) are beautifully & simply done. You teach me a lot about watercolors, Helle, I learn everytime I see them. And I agree that the vase is a knockout: it shines & shimmers & the golds & blues are beautiful accents. Maybe something was lost in the scan, but even the way you painted the table-edge and the reflection is simple & beautiful. Gorgeous...and you're only 11 away from 1000! You'll be joining Tara & Denise very soon! (Andrea's getting there too...the "1000" club!) I'll be there! Wonderful work...I'll get to your other pieces soon! Another fav for sure.
