Description

“Today we will cross the western foothills, around lake Marna and to the town of BlueWater. The lesson is to learn water conservation on long journeys.” said RideMaster Korv. “If one is to ever be able to travel the distances that are required on Olandai and, especially under the hot Red Sun of this world, not perish on the way he or she must learn to survive with the limited amount of water that one can carry and not over weigh the horses.” continued old Master. “Yes, RideMaster.” was all Malinu cared to say. She had grown up with these riding lessons. Her Father had insisted on it and Malinu was an obedient daughter, even now when she was the only one of the 8 girls that was not married and moved away. She had stayed to make sure Father had been taken care of and not left to live alone. After Mother’s death he had been lonely enough even with all the girls still home. After her sisters had gone on he had been even more withdrawn and the rides they took together had been the hilite of his life. Now he was gone and the villa was hers but she still obeyed what he had insisted on in life. He had wanted nothing to happen to any of his girls, and not his youngest to be sure. The old RideMaster had been a young man when first Father had hired him to teach his girls the ways of the Ride on Olandai, which could be a cruel world to the uninitiated. Very little drinkable water except for the many wells that had been drilled into the ground by the first settlers of this world. The water in the many lakes was not drinkable except to the indigenous life forms and humanity had to drill the wells very deep in order to have the ground filter the water enough for human consumption. Thus the reason for RideMasters that taught the proper way to travel on Olandai now that horses were the only form of travel left after the fuel had run out generations ago. Oh, yes... one must always heed the lessons of the RideMaster...

A little more complex a picture this time. A little better story, I think, as well. It is my hope that you find both to your liking......gene

WOW ! Excellent render ! I have just a comment the size is too big for my screen 1280x1024 and I think I loose the global vision which gives all the credits to your artwork ...
