Description
Today marks a year since my Beloved Australian Cattle Dog (Blue Heeler) Gracie Anne died. We buried her at the Hollow. Her memory is as fresh today as if she just died.
This is a photo that I took in early August of 2006, and I really liked it, but it was too blurred to use for anything. I decided to play with some of the filters in PSP8, and this was the result. It's a repost, it just seemed right to bring it to the front of the gallery and let it be seen again.
Thank you so much for all the lovely comments on the previous post .. and for the faves as well. I especially liked that you really were honest and expressed your feelings on the posting, some of you liked the narrowed version, most didn't. It was fun to play with though, and I want to try it again using a photo with buildings.
I'm still behind of course, an probably will be forever, LOL! but I'm trying to catch up!

I'm behind on the galleries, too, and I need a break, but I wanted to stop by and give you a virtual hug. For those of us who regard our pets as family, it's a comfort to know we're not alone. I admire your devotion to Gracie Anne. This has a lovely watercolor effect--like a memory or vision seen through a wash of tears. I love how she is gazing back at us as if to say goodbye and to remind us that there is light and love all around us and we are all a part of nature.

Oh my! I wish I had more pictures of my lost children like this. I've a few, but would really like copies of the one's my ex decided she would keep, I just got that which she didn't want. I am truly sorry for your loss, our for legged and furry family is just as much family, and just as special. More often holding a place in our hearts so perfect, because they were always there, no matter what, no back talk, or hurtful words, totally immune to the shortcomings we all have as humans. This is a great tribute, may she ever live on in your heart and memories! Thank you much for sharing this.

Great picture and a fitting image for a special day and for your gallery. My favorite dog passed a few years back and just yesterday, I drove past my old park where I use to play frizbee with my dog... I think my Wife thinks I might be a little crazy, because when we went past the park, I said: "Here comes Rusty" - advertisers use to use that line for dog racing here in Colorado = and my dog's name was Rusty.
