Description
To see the first part of this story, see Confrontation, part 1 in my gallery.
Over the years, Jaynes developed a philosophy that boils down to two statements:
- Keep it simple.
- Shoot first, ask questions later.
Thats why she still uses an old fashioned slug-thrower. Simple, deadly, and utterly reliable. Nothing like a healthy dose of good old kinetic energy to knock em on their asses she always says. Maybe no one told her that its not the best way of dealing with the cops. Maybe she just didnt listen.
The cop uses more modern technology. Shes got the latest in anti-personnel weaponry, The REV67 gamma-ray laser pistol. Its gigawatt output will melt through six feet of depleted uranium and ionizes the air along its path with a purple glow. Hence its cute little nick-name, the purple death ray.
Now, all this technology is beside the point. In a showdown like this, whoevers faster on target will be standing when its over. Will it be Jayne, or the cop? Stay tuned for part three
The faces were rendered in Vue 6, the guns were rendered in Poser 7, with postwork in PSP 7.
Yes, the motion blur on the magnum was intentional. Ever fired one? You know what I mean!
Cheers, and thanks for stopping by to take a look!

eyes of concentration and focus, aim, fire! Very cool images. Now which one does more damage quicker? LOL. Great textures.

Yes, I've fired magnums and the revolver kind are the worst to keep hold of as the grip tends to allow it to roll back by sliding through the palm. Only thing I see that doesn't quite jib is that the muzzle flash from the magnum should have pulled out a bit more along the bullet path. Glad to see they solved the cooling problem on the gigawatt beam weapons. The older version got too hot to hold after one pulse and earned the nickname "throw away" because no one would hold onto them. Nice composition. I like the concept of the panels here.
