Description

where I have been last Friday. Lauterbach Valley is situated in the center of Switzerland in the canton Bern. It is the famous region where the mountains Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau are. Deep in the Lauterbach valley, which you can see on the middle photo, there is a rock face with the Trümmelbach Waterfalls inside (photo shows the rockface on the left and the little entrance hut). On the other side of the valley there are also long waterfalls coming down over the rock, which you can see on the left photo. Within the rockface you find the Trümmelbach Waterfalls, 10 glacial water falls above each other truely unique in Europe. Trümmelbach alone drains the enourmous glacial walls of Eiger (3970m, Mönch (4099m) and Jungfrau (4158m) with up to a spectacular 20.000 liter per second. The noise of this waterfalls, when you are near them is so loud you can't hear each other talk and of course they are a fascinating view to see. Thanks for viewing and have a fine Sunday evening!
