Description
This is a photo of a wrestler/body builder from the 40's that the Library of Congress released to the public recently. It has no copyright restrictions and the photographer is unknown. I just loved his proud stance and it sparked alittle kingly inspiration ::grin:: *** TFL :)

I don't think he is a boxer, I think he is a bodybuilder in the Old Mr. Universe style - it may even by Charles Atlas. The pose is a classic body builder pose to highlight the triceps and his arms are too ripped for wrestling... those guys are much more blocky. Regardless of who he is the work is an excellent composition. The postwork makes it look like it was done in charcoal.
