I used to love catching frogs like these when I was a kid. Of course, I'd collect a bunch and then set them free...

A truly oustanding shot with the leaves slightly reminding of Sumi-e, and the colourful texture that fit in perfect haarmony. A photograph that screams to be manipulated! Edit: As I have said before this photo is eminently suited for photo manipulation (because of its abundance of colour). So with permission from Trina I made a try to get this elusive 'painterly effect', the result is here, In the Marsh That was done in the following way, 1) First I made the colours sharper and more vibrant. I used a plug-in called Topaz but you can also use 'Levels'. When you done that the dark parts of the picture is too dark -we correct that in next step. 2) I selected the darkest part of the image with the Image wand and blended in a nice blue colour, to get back the details that was lost. 3) Next I transformed a copy of the image into an 'underpainting' by smudging out everything. This is how it looked, underpaintin (the people in the 2D forum will probably take it for an abstract painting in its own right.. ;) 4) Then at last I placed the underpainting above the image and blended in with 'Soft Light'.
