Description

About 7 miles from my home is a redwood tree called Big Tree and I usually stop by when I am down that way as the tree is so huge 23 feet across to date, and it puts me in my place and humbles me most times in Awe of it. I love it in the Klamath Area along the coast in California, and love every second of my time here. taken on a trypod with my Piece-O-chit camera matic. DT Thanks for stopping by /winks

Looks very much like my neck of the woods (humboldt county, south of eureka)--nothing like these giants to make us feel rather insignificant!!

All dressed up! Where's the cammo? LOL That's an awesome tree and you are looking pretty good too. Your camera is working pretty fine these days. Glad to see some of your photography. I know you have to have tons of wonderful things to shoot around there. BTW, I know it isn't an election, but I like the outfit. :-)

WOW! I've seen countries smaller than that tree! What a shot! I love the textures of the bark and how absolutely tiny a human being is against that leviathan! WOW! This rocks! Actually it's quite stable: you used a tripod! But you get my drift, this is excellent!

imagine how much of it must be under the ground.. one can see the mighty roots go in.. each of them the size of an average tree I wonder now how large the largest Euro tree might be.
