Description
A full zoom of the setting sun from yesterday's photo.
Looking out towards the gulf. It is interesting how the distortion caused by the long distance gives it a watercolory effect. Looking towards the gulf, you are seeing Boca Grand, a barrier island less than a mile wide. On the other side of it is the gulf of mexico. It sure has a lot of vacation homes built up upon it.

The sea has a life of its own here. A lovely capture.

Stellar capture of this texture-rich image, Kort! That is a very odd cloud configuration silhouetted against the setting sun.

Fantastic sunset shot, Kort. Aside from the clouds partially obscuring the sun, I really like the reflective red glow at the bottom of the image, which kind of look like submerged lights from an underwater structure. I'm currently reading Duma Key, the Stephen King book about a man recovering from a serious accident who rents a house on the beach in Florida & starts painting sunsets that begin taking on a malevolent, supernatural life of their own. Have you read it?
