Description

The first of my entries for last week's Platinum Club contest (Gaia for V4, Terra for Gaia), this depicts the goddess Dana (or Danu, or Don) welcoming Lugh Samildanach (aka Lugh Lamfada) to the hall of her Sidh (dwelling place). I've always had a passion for the myths and legends of my Irish heritage, particularly those involving the Tuatha de Danaan and their battle against the Fomori, and the events leading up to the second battle of Magd Tuireach (pronounced "Moy Tura"), in which Lugh Samildanach (Samildanach meaning "Master of Many Arts") played a huge role. This image is not taken from the legends... but it could have been. Enjoy, and as always, I welcome all comments. Other Credits: tag0 - Dana (private character); Lugh (private character) Moyra - Terra for Gaia Redhouse Studios - House of Mog Ruith; House of Mog Ruith - Interior Fanci - Fairy Bkgds: Country
