Description

Cover for The Boys Upstairs from Lilley Press. It's a Christian oriented book about a preacher who takes homeless kids into his home. Very strange to work on a winter scene in the middle of 100 degree heat. I've never really done snow before, except once. It's quite hard to do snow well. And the scene was also a night time scene so that added difficulty. The author had a particular type of house in mind, so I had to model that from scratch instead of using a house from my library. You'll have to forgive me for the boys in the window. I know they don't quite match the scene. That was the author's request, and I strive to make my authors happy. I'm pretty happy with the snowman. First time I've ever tried to make one.

Very nice. I think you did a great job on the snow and your snowman has quite a bit of character :D Love the lighting on the front porch, subtle :)
