Description

I really enjoyed my trip to the UK for a conference staying in a place called Hinckley in Leicestershire. It was a good mix of "talking shop" as well as socialising during the evenings. I met some really interesting people. I am not someone who often writes what I think but am inspired by those on RR who do, in particular Gayle (Amota99517) and Bunny (bpclarke) who are also wonderful artists and give us food for thought in sharing their wisdom. I cannot name all that inspire me on this site but think of them often as I wander through my ebots and the new postings. On Friday morning at the conference a presentation by a man called Professor George Giarchi was outstanding and inspiring to say the least. He is 78 years of age and is the Professor of Social Care at the University of Plymouth. He intends to "retire" in 2010 when he reaches 80. He is a Gerontologist and the President of the University of the Third Age - www.u3a.org.uk - I had never heard of it but have looked at its website and was amazed at the diversity of the work they do. His presentation was entitled " Let's make life a second summer ". I was enthralled by his words and his outlook on life. I believe my life will be a better one for listening to him on Friday. I just wanted to share that with you. By the way I was delighted to get back home on Saturday to see my "boys". Susan Thank you for your support on my previous post " I have an itch "thumb_1926729.jpg

I like the out of focus wall in the foreground, nice horse in the medow picture. But cut away some of the picture behind the horse and you will get a nicer image, in my opinion.
