Description

Hi everyone hope you all had a good weekend! Firstly, sorry for not posting as much as I perhaps should be at the moment, I've been swamped with a backlog of files to keyword and edit for the stock sites, and as a main source of income to an unemployed chap like myself I'm afraid it has some degree of priority. I'm beginning to miss the open landscape though and have pencilled in a trip to the Lake District for a couple of weeks time meeting up with a Scottish photographer I know... looking forward to it! As for the shot here.. well this is the third shot of this stretch of motorway to make it to my gallery, and probably my favourite so far. Shot for stock, and reckon it'll do ok.. the previous version is my top seller anyway ;) And the tilt is intentional btw, thought it added a bit of dynamism to the compo - opinions? Thanks very much for all recent comments and favs, I do appreciate it! I'll be making an effort to be around here as much as I'm able to for the rest of the month =) Adam (might be useful to some - Manual exposure - 32mm, f/11, iso 250, 30secs, manual focus using zoomed live view)

Excellent light trails Adam... Something I am dying to try!!! It is just not very safe here in SA on top of bridges across freeways after dark!!!! Grrr... This image is perfect! :)

thank you all =) Carin that's a shame.. on the contrary while I was taking this not a single other car came near me, and those on the motorway below I noticed were slowing up rather quickly as soon as they spotted the parked car and camera on tripod on the bridge - must have thought I was out to catch their speed and wanted to avoid a ticket through the mail... it's ridiculous in the UK, such a money making scheme under the pretences of increased safety..

A fascinating capture, with superbly controlled lighting and exposure. As you said, the tilt adds to the impression of speed and continuous flow of head and taillights, and the outcome is splendid. Excellent work, Adam, even though your whereabouts on this bridge must have set a moment of panic inside some cars !
