Hi, I'm Marilyn.  I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile.  It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here.  I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends.  Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time.  Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!!  Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet.  You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long.  Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

I remember being told that when the first Fords came out 'you could have any colour so long as it was black'!

We are still a FORD family, carrying on the tradition of my father. We had Fords until the year I entered high school. Then he bought a Pontiac Grand Prix. I was T-boned by the local wino 3 months later and the car was totalled. So much for other brands... LOL Back to Ford we went. Presently, we are a 2-Ford family and I can't tell you how much I loved my Ford pick-em-up truck that I had before this little Escort. Unfortunately, I didn't like the 9 miles to the gallon it got, hence, the Escort. LOL

3 on the tree? Stellar POV, clarity, colors, and reflectivity in this excellent portrait of the V8 F--O--R--D hood and grille, Marilyn! What year is it, circa mid 1930s? Incidentally, no one in my family ever owned a Ford.

cool shot! I learned to drive on a 56 ford. My dad didn't was the car much and it was very dirty. So I packed in my girlfriends and went to the car wash. It had a lot of body rot. The car started falling apart. I guess the dirt was holding it together!!

Don,t you love it when it all comes together :) - I like the creative nature of this type of shot - not all of us have the powerful suject matter to shoot so we make it up as we go - great job !

Oooh that paint looks so rich and bright...I love it.

really nice sweep & plunge, and the color is big and saturated, and you have these yellows to the sides of some of your red-chrome shots, and the feel like big paint strokes. Wonderful color and sweep. It's a lot more than a Ford to me! Your crop caught the plunge in action...any more car and it would've been lessened. Whoosh!
