Description

This owl was sitting on my roof one evening, disturbing my quiet silence, so I quickly snapped it before it flew off. It's not often that I come face to face with a big owl.

Scare these away in town...they decimate song birds and most anything that moves that's smaller than them. They are considered a pest in urban environs....great capture tho.. ...

Indeed. This is a lucky shot. Speaking for myself I have only seen an owl in the wild (face-to-face) once.

"...they decimate song birds and most anything that moves that's smaller than them. They are considered a pest in urban environs....great capture tho.. " Yes, I suppose they are the sharks of the sky, but I can only imagine what they think of humans.
