Description

this a device on Hoover dam that I think allows monitoring of the dam for any movement well, I got the door installed but now I must start painting this morning.I accidentally broke the alarm contact and I had to drive nearly 25 miles one way to get a new one.before anyone could buy them, but thanks to the state passing a law that one must have an alarm license in order to purchase parts.I think it was a ploy by the alarm companies to force someone like me to call an alarm company to replace a $5 dollar item.my provider of service gave it to me, but took 3 hours of fighting traffic to get it I installed Poser 8 yesterday and I am not impressed with their so called new characters. thanks for having a look see and any comments

Cool photo, some kind of motion sensor? I havent been to the Hoover Dam in 10 years and havent seen that device before, generally we locals tend to avoid the Dam for the most part.

Interesting for sure...looks like it might magnify or sense but it sure isn't anything I've seen before...glad the door is getting closer to being done and yes these big companies like to be needed...glad to hear you managed it yourself. I'd much rather do something myself.

Looks like part of a Laser level system.. could be used to make sure there is no movement in the dam. Looks somewhat like the laser level that is used when biulding or surveying land for geographical maps. Nice interesting capture Richard!!

Great macro caputre here Richard and so sorry for all the troulbes you've had. It's amazing all the laws the gov. will pass to try and make it hard for the little guy to do anything for himself.
