Bomaw Hello, my name is Sylvia Lucinda Martin Payne, and basically, Bomaw - is about me. About my escape from Chicago following the death of my first husband. He died in a car accident, was burned beyond recognition. Leaving me behind, and our two teenage children, Crystal Bella Payne, Armundo Edgar Payne Jr. It happened while they were away at college in La Crosse, Wi. Following his burial, due to some unsavory characters hanging around my home, coming to my door and continuously, "checking on me" - as if I had something to hide, I came home from work to find that my husband had been insured. Leaving me with enough money, to escape! Finally, peace would be mine. I found a quaint and lovely home on the internet in a very small town - population 523, 97% white, 1/2% black, 2-1/2 Spanish. Well - I jumped in my car, to see this home, drove the 350+ miles to meet the real estate agent and instantly fell in love. I bought this home, packed up, and left Chicago! To begin my new life. I found myself on this isolated road, with my closests neighbor living across the road from me. It was said around town, the property was purchased, but the owner was no where in sight - and that was just fine with me. All I wanted was to be alone, left - alone - to get to know me, to grow - and yes, to heal. No men allowed!!! I'm Sylvia - and Bomaw is about me, a black woman's mission to find peace, quiet, solitude - however, due to the neighbor finally moving in across the road, I found everything but - peace, quiet and solitude.
