Description
Bunny on the left rendered with Poser 8 Factory Set camera at 35mm.
Bunny on the right rendered with Poser 7.
Firefly engine was set using factory standard settings.
I did a couple of other renders changing focal point and lens size and found out that distortion disappears as focal length and lens size increase.
Just wondering if this has happened to anyone else with Poser 8?

I havent noticed This. Actually i never messed with the camera settings yet.But Ill do that when ever My Renders done To-day or tommorow! lol. I am rendering right now using the new inderect lighting (poser8) and some normal maps, some water with fresnal,AO, HSV And a few more new tricks in it. I test rendered a@ a low setting Took about 1hr 15 min. Then i cranked up the settings a bit on everyting.then i set the Inderect lighting to about 9 i think (had it at 1 for the test render. Anyway.....It has been 14 hrs Pre calculating the Inderect lihgting and its about 3/4 done. It took most of the night on the hair alone then it skips along at a good pace. Now its slowed down to a crawl. I belive it's calculating the water now, But i cant see the bottom of the Image yet. (Taller than my screen I think around 1280X1050... After that it still has to render the image!! Man It better Look Great lol.

I haven't noticed this either, but then I rarely go below a focal length of 75. I'll have to play with wider angles and see what happens.

Yes, the local length is just like a real camera. If you are close to a subject and have a low focal length you will see alot of "distortion" in the perspective. If you increase the FL you will see that go away. You can get interesting fx or change the mood of a scene just by adjusting the FL. If you would like to know more, try researching regular camera stuff, it will open your eyes to the settings of all 3d programs camera settings!

Good looking contrast in the two software versions. Nice picture.
