This one started pretty simple: a close-up of Ariel's face. But then I decided it would be appropriate to draw Ariel in her medium. As some of you may know, she is a wizard, so this is what she does. Sitting in her lab, reading arcane literature, trying to find the ultimate secrets of the multi-verse... So yeah, drawing a background is a pain in the ass >_< But I did it! And then came the colours OTL I know I have been abusing the use of light from behind lately, but this one just had to be that way. I wanted big contrasts in the light... trickier than you would think. I was going to use a third source of light... and green... but at the end decided it would just not work. (It's worth noting that to the uninitiated eye, the writings on her books are random traces... but they are not, they are very hard to decipher codes, they keep secrets of great power hidden in their meaning...)
