Description
To live in the NOW (no other when) is the only place we can truly be. This NOW requires our full attention and presence. But, being the human creatures that we are, we seem at times to long for the past or yearn for the future. The past is but a memory and memories cannot be changed. The future is yet untold and can change at any given moment based upon the choices that we make. So today... this day... this hour... this moment is where we're at. To live in the NOW is to be fully present in our lives. To fully feel each event... each thought. Whether pain or pleasure... to allow ourselves to feel it all is what makes us fully feel and live our lives. So today... just for today... we shall allow ourselves to live in our NOW. We shall absorb each experience to the fullest and allow our experiences to move in, around and through us. And when we allow ourselves to fully feel our experience, we shall become totally aware of our Greater Self. It shall excite us and ignite our souls with a passion for fuller living and a desire to greet our future with joy. For today we are the music makers and today we shall create rich harmonic tones to add to our life's symphony. What amazing music we shall make when we allow our hearts to take flight.

The inset image is the original flame. The main image was then run through the Mehdi Kaleidoscope 2.1 filter in PSP.

(There's another version of your quote, famous among Hindus: "a blink in the eye of Brahman"...It's not a full quote, but a phrase: It means that even our whole lives are but a blink in the eye of Consciousness, and [as you know] it's not disparaging to know that, but enlightening. It tells us that knowing that we're all contained in a waterdrop-of-consciousness frees us to embrace the eternal dance—because if our lives are a 'blink', a blink contains all of life: You can find everything in it wherever you are...) Your image is just exquisite: You have little 'waterdrops' filled with all kinds of webworks & intertwinings, it's like a convergence of the droplets of the Universe; and you have shapes (including hearts!) flying in & out of the convergence. I love your palette, and I love that small frame at bottom where you've coalesced everything into a sphere (which is actually a new work)! Lovely hue with tons going on inside, and a beautiful image of the dance inside us all. Another fine piece from you Gayle, and once again all my best on your many ventures! I've seen both sites, and they're wonderful. Much light your way!
