Description
The war had dragged on for 100 years, ever since the Keliades had stormed out of space and completely destroyed the new colony world of Sangia.
The Navy did everything it could. One on one they were a fair match for the Kaliades ships. The problem lay in the fact that Kaliades had millions of ships to Earth's thousands. Slowly, intelligence was gathered in painful fits and starts, usually at ghastly cost.
It was finally discovered that the Kaliades maintained shipyards on the triple moons of their homeworld.
Commander Fred Tarkinson smiled grimly as he gathered the crews of the three planetary explorers that had been pulled from normal service and modified. The new singularity jump drives should take them safely past the defenses of the main system. Once they did that they should be able to deliver the hellfire weapons with ease to their targets.
Cerberus squadron successfully jumped. It is assumed that they accomplished their task for the Keliades sued for peace within two years of the mission. It is said that the Kaliades system has no nighttime now. Three small suns burn in it's skies. The remains of the great moons and their massive shipyards.
