This is just a fantasy sketch on an old A4 Architect paper. Hope you like him.

Almost free of clouds and very lovely weather with fresh winds. It is easy to feel it is late summer, by the birds. They have totally stopped singing. I also like this time of the year alot.

Excellent, Helle! I use this paper when I am planning to move furniture about. I make a scale plan of the room, and little scale plans of each big piece of furniture, and move them round on the plan to see how they might fit. Less back-ache that way!!

I really enjoy commenting on your work, helle, I'll comment on this before I leave (I'm behind on your wonderful gallery!) I've looked at this several times, and what I love about it is the same naturalness you get in your watercolors. I agree with tara, it's all done in the simplest & fewest lines. You've captured the hairs in layers (just like a teen has), you've drawn lines around each layer but let the light fill in the rest; you've used the simplest diagonal lines for shading, intensifying only where needed; the lips & eyes & nose are so gently drawn in; and those eyes are just beautiful. Beautiful luminous eyes. And...it looks like you're drawing on graph paper! Ha! If I'm right, that just proves that artist's will draw on whatever their muse tells them draw on! I've just looked again, the eyes are so beautiful. Another gentle portrait from you, really lovely.
