Description

Here's another look at the Malice and Mayhem (this one is Mayhem). This is experiment # 5 for Poser 8 where I played with lighting and reflections. The lighting in this scene consists of 8 lights. (Yes, the lighting was blue green.) And the floor is reflective. Ok, I realize that some folks don't care for Poser 8. Yeah, the characters they include aren't that great (however, I didn't buy this for the characters, I bought it for the faster render time). And yes, I taxed the heck out of my machine with this one. I got the error message that I had reached the max limits on file space, so I closed out a bunch of other open stuff. BUT after that it rendered really really fast. It would have taken hours to render in Poser 6 or Poser Pro. Even with the extra lights and reflections it only took a few minutes. Everything you see in this picture was rendered in one scene. There are no separate renders or layering of renders. (Although her magic effects were added in Photoshop.) Anyway, please zoom for details. Lots to see here. Oh, the dragon on the left is playing with her loin cloth. (I thought it would be fun to make him like a cat going after something flying in the breeze. The other dragon is just looking on with a 'what are you doing?' expression. Don't you know that she will smack you down if you mess up her loin cloth?) Thanks sooooo much for all your comments and favs on my last picture. I really appreciate it! :)

Your creative use of lighting is always amazing and I guess with P8 you can do a whole lot more experimenting without wasting an hour of render time and coming up with an "oh crap that is too dark and gotta do it all over again or can this be fixed in ps?" As always your mastery of dragon poses is par none... no one can touch you.

A great image in P8 ~ Just cant give up my PP render in background as of yet, pluss I have like an I7 Quad and 12 gigs of ram on a complete 64bit sys, so PP7 is still really fast for me, I will cave eventually but I really want the new PP8 Love the dragons!

Lori this one is so amazing and you really showed just what Poser 8 can do in the right hands. Your little Egyptian Charmer is just that, charming and a truly exotic beauty. Love the little dragon at play with her loin cloth and those special effects make it a true delight

I am beginning to like P8, but you are right about the provided characters. their hype was that they are the best thing to come down the pike.far be removed how ever would be the actual truth. beautiful render Lori

This is fabulous! Would you be willing to share your render settings? Things are rendering more slowly for me in P8 than in Poser Pro...
