Description
The Crab spider, Misumena vatia with the remains of her lunch, a little hoverfly, Melanostoma scalare.
She is on Phlox Blue Boy.
I was cutting some for the house, or I should never have seen her.
Nothing quite so exciting for a nature freak as a good murder!

oh what a delight for 6 in the morning! lol! got any more? I'm big on animals devouring each other at my dawn! (lol) It's a fine detailed capture, and with real clarity, of a basic fact of nature. I had a friend who was a gourmet cook, and her one reaction to these scenes wasn't the gore or murder, but how any self-respecting insect could settle for an insect! (Like it's gonna say, "no thanks, I'll just order some Peking Duck!") I like the light on the flower too.
