Nice - I like the Thranx interpretation (although they've alwaysbeen more ant-like in my imagination when I read about them). Any plans for further forays into the Humanx commonwealth? I'd love to see a render of the "Teacher".

I'll have to read look over the books to see if I can get a better picture of what the Teacher should look like. It got more descriptive about adaptive camouflage in the final story. I've always taken the Thranx to be Mantid-like species because of their description. For one, Ants generally smell bad what with the tannic acid they spew and they have round heads mostly. Thranx do not smell like that according to the stories, and their heads are much different. Here is a link that supports that: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thranx I would like to know if someone is willing to create a true detailed Poser Thranx with the valentine-shaped head, with the large golden eyes sometimes banded in red, backpack & tools, & gender colorations. It would be a good sell here I would think. I don't have the 3D stuff to do that kind of modeling, though I did see a fantastic image here of several green mantids close up & moving to the left of the picture. They had tusks near their mouths, which is not much like real mantids, but it was a very well done image. I couldn't find it searching here though.
