Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

Oh wow - I agree - there is nothing quite like feeling the music in every fibre of your body with the drums becoming your heart beat! Great idea for an image Marilyn and well done! :)

LOL at Tara! I can't manage 5 mins near an amp. I had to leave a reunion in the pub the other night within minutes of the band starting: luckily we'e had an hour or two just shouting at each other over the sound of people without the music. My ears only rang for about 3 hours! I love the same sort as music as you, but not so NEAR!

It does make a wonderful abstract, this massive speaker...I spent many a night in front of these, feeling them pulling my heart out of my chest!

First thing to come to mind was what? as I was reading your remarks, and then I see that Tara beat me to it,......I'm very proud of her! Being up front rocks! And it sounds like you had a great time, glad your hearing is still intact.

Stellar lighting really brings out the repetitive patterns in this centered capture, Mazzy! A couple of minutes next to this monster must be a bone and brain shattering experience.

That's an awfully large speaker to be next to, and you can still hear????? Great shot.

This looks intimidatingly powerful! I love the lines, the whole grid just in front of the speaker itself. It reminds me of some wild thing that must be caged so that spectators may be protected! Fantastic work, and I like the crisp, clean geometry here! It's elegant!
