What a truly wonderful pic Juliette. This little bee has certainly found food in abundance here. He looks quite satiated. I find the image very touching, given that we are told that bees are in decline. Someone should tell the thousands feasting on my lavender hedge. I think I will take up Apiculture and keep the world in honey!

I love all the gold in this, and the wings and hairs are great. Bees work so hard and often are unappreciated. This is a lovely tribute to them.

One of the bugs I love .. a wonderful capture! Sadly, this year there are not many to be found around, one or two in the garden, and at the Hollow, very few. I used to hear the buzzing almost as a background lullaby, now there is only the wind and the birds. And an occaisional bee. It is very sad, this hive collapse syndrome.
