Description

I had a dream There was this old man Sitting alone Feeding birds in the park Everyday the same birds Were there with him They would come up to him Eat from his hand They were his friends As time went on The birds grew tired Of ever day the same old thing So one by one They stretched their wings And flew away Now this old man Is still at the park Sitting all alone But hopefully someday soon More birds will come to eat And he will make New friends again The old man in this sad little poem is played by me. The birds who were his friends are played by my buddy’s Ryan and Gary. They are two of my buddy’s at work who got different jobs and have moved on to hopefully greener pastures. Believe me they will be missed. I will make new friends I am pretty good at that, but it won’t be the same these two are irreplaceable

I've been out of work since March and I know the feeling. All you can do is reach out to them. If they drift away, at least you know you did the right thing. Great imagery.

Sad fact of life ....friends come and go....people always move on or change but we stay the same....that's a good thing.

A good friend is very hard to replace...sad poem indeed. Life goes on no matter how much we'd like to keep some things the same...awesome words my friend. I can so relate...yet again. :-)
