It was only a matter of time before someone decided that the bizarre stellar objects known as magnetars would make a useful weapon. Only 20 kilometres wide but more massive than the Sun, magnetars have a magnetic field so strong it could actually cause the water in your body to tear itself - and you - apart. The magnetar tractor, built VERY carefully around a magnetic inversion layer, gently nudges its cargo into an appropriate location before shattering the magnetar's crust, causing one hell of a bang.
