Hmm.... I'm a computer scientist who has started to work in 3D lately... it is fun... But basically I'm a computer scientist and not really an artist... so don't expect so great things from me... The only difference that might be in me is that I tried to save some humanity in me by not indulging myself so much in science like a mechanical or electromechanical robot which I found many people turned or turning into in my university life. But if you look at me... you might confuse me with a Taliban soldier... :P

She does look good up close, but a few things need fixing. Firstly the mesh of the face forward of her ear seems to be breaking up. this could be for a number of reasons, try applying a turbosmooth modifier with iteration 1 to see if that smooths out the mesh ( it will also smooth out the hair and make it less angular in spots) Secondly the tear in V4 eyes does not translate well into 3DS Max and you will have to apply a transparent/reflective material to it to make it more realistic. Try it and see how it goes. Hope this helps.

Indeed she is sweet! Nice render!

crucho! it's not the mesh, it's irradiance map. anyway, you've taught me lots of skills in one shot :) Thanks fur zat! I let it go on purpose by the way. I shall see about the tear thing... Thank you so much!

Nice work on this one, but I see what you mean about the area next to the ear. Not sure what the irradiance map has to do with it (not a 3DS Max user), but the remainder of the image looks alright. Thanks to 'crucho' for the tips.
