This started out as an exercise in using my "Autumn Woods" textures in a render where they weren't the full focus of attention. It ended up... well, taking a rather more personal turn, quite by accident, when I ended up having the focus character in the scene getting scolded for not being ready for the party that was about to start.... *sighs* The book, the not wanting to listen, the casual clothes when everyone else is wearing fancy... that's me, pretty much. Not that I ever really got *scolded*, exactly, for not participating in gatherings, etc. (not by my parents, at least) - but it could be a close thing, sometimes. (Now, if only we'd had a place like the Hacienda Hermosa.... *G*) So... yeah, unexpected shock when I realized what was going on in the image. But that's what the best art does - draws something out of the artist in an effort to make contact with the viewer/reader/listener. So I present to you: "Aren't You Ready Yet?"
