Reminds me of a part of the Gettysburg Battlefield (American Civil War) where a Maine unit repulsed the Confederate Army, when the latter tried to flank the Union forces. They ran out of ammunition and charged down the slope with just their bayonets and routed the Southerners. It was called the Battle of Little Roundtop. Now it is as peaceful as your picture here; but it will always be sacred ground to me because the ground was literally covered with the blood of a lot of good men doing their duty on both sides.
