Description
Captured way back on 12/26/05, early in the morning, within walking distance of my atypical abode.
Better viewed full size.
Occasionally, I find the time, curiousity and incentive to pore through my old photo folders, and, as an example, have come up with gems such as these, taken over 3-1/2 years ago. Normally, Christmas time is not the ideal season for roses, but, in sunny Southern California, the envelope gets pushed way out of sight and anything goes.
Pictures 3 and 4 are the same; the original on top, the postworked light/shadow version on the bottom.
Ta-ta, and tallyho.

I agree with the above comments, and you show your Warhol sensibilities again. You could do subtle variations on the last two that would stretch 20 feet down the page, because the flower's that rich, and your exploration of light & shapes is that sensitive. Buuuuut.....the ol' 512KB limit does get in the way. (Don't get me started on that! I make 'single' images that are 20 feet high! And I know people would like me to make them smaller, lol...) You really do capture the language of roses, their delicacy & folds & shadow, etc, as is seen in the top 2 shots so well. And the 3d shot really does feel like inner light is coming through, and the last is another of your explorations of the subtle variations in nature. More flower beauties from you. And 118??? Did I come in that late? I have to get back to your early work more often, I've missed a lot...
