Waiting In The Wings
It hovers, undulates
Sinuous as smoke
tendrils touch
the unwary and
gently constrict.
It comes and goes,
flows free
Tactile
Slippery
Teasing, tasting.
Ready?
A soft embrace.
It's real alright
Not yet for you.
Just out of reach but
waiting in the wings.
