Description

I have long been interested in the curious effect of pixellation. When you blow up an image on most computers, especialy in older programs, the easiest option is always is to literally translate the original image into a larger copy without blurring. I think it's an interesting aesthetic. It makes me think of impressionism, where painters would deliberately paint indistinctly, as if one was peering through glass to see something or remembering a scene from a dream. Pixellation might be another approach, a modern approach, to achieving a similar effect. This was rendered in Bryce and postworked in IrfanView. The sky was created in Terragen. Thank you for viewing and have a great night.
