Hello everyone and thanks for looking...
One of my recent pictures became my most favorited image, and since so many of you liked it I decided to expound on the theme. Besides, every good sorcerer has to have a demon to battle, don't you think?
As usual for pictures like this, I sketched out what I had in mind, this one on a post-it note. I find it really helps to have an idea of what you want your picture to end up like, but most of my pictures take on a life of their own. ^_^
I set up my V3 character in Poser 7, using the 'She-Freak'and 'Freaky Devils' morphs. I clothed her in a simple dynamic cloth dress, calculated it, and saved the result.
In Vue I built a random object from a bunch of stretched spheres, and grouped them into a metablob. I gave it a red wine liquid texture with a little displacement map for the surface ripples. Then I imported my Poser character, played with her dress texture and gave her sword blade a glowing material. I tried to make the eyes glow too, but I don't think it came out well.
After rendering the picture once (four hours), I made some tweaks then rendered again (all night). The resulting image I only used Photoshop on to give my blob shapes a radial blur to make them more 'splashy', and that's it.
What do you think? I'd love to hear if you have any ideas on things I could have done to improve on the effects. As always, your comments are the reason I keep trying to improve.

wild... I like it... as far as "glowing" eyes, you might want to make her face darker, and take a couple spotlites and center them on her eyes and increase her eye size.... I like it just the way you have it though... I was playing with this character last week.... I'm having problems with the horse legs... What do I have to do to make the the horse legs conform and what do I do with her legs??? I'd like to use this character with the horse legs and Have been having problems = site mail me with a response, please.
