Description
1/6 scale Action Figures come in all varieties and degrees of articulation. Featured above is an early Perfect Body by Takara. Well-articulated and sturdier than most, she has a large replaceable chest (the replacement on this early model is DD size). Subsequent versions are slightly more modest. One variation here is that she carries a head from a Jakks-Pacific figure (heads are often swapped, sometimes with slight neck alterations).
Oh yes, I admire daring ladies, but there are well articulated male figures available by Hasbro (GI Joe line), or moving up articulation scale to PowerTeam, 21century, and others.
The clothed swordswoman is a Cool Girl 1.0 body (Sky). She came with clunky boot feet which have been removed at the ball joint. Her footless lower legs are merely stuffed into Barbie Riding boots.
Mix and match, get the pose you need and click the camera.
My first posted image of such 12 inch figures drew a comment that I was mocking "Poser" et al. Far from it. I admire many cgi offerings. With Poser and other programs you can change your figure's expression. Sometimes I can push or smudge a line in PSP, but have nowhere near the freedom of cgi.

Amazing info, Dick!! I had NO idea about these other figures, and it is really most interesting! I must try and make a decent pic with Slack Alice, you inspire me now.

Amazing work, really. The characters are less flexible, but the staging and clothes as you work them out are often well worth the trade. I have the Poser BJD figure(s) and although very interesting, they're designed to be lacking in facial expressions, etc., anyway.
