I've been playing with Poser for a few years now. I don't consider myself an artist, but Poser makes it possible for some of the pictures in my head to find release...I think that's kind of cool.
I live in Denver Colorado with my electrician husband, two Filas named Shiva and Thunder;Â two Cavies--- AKA Guinea Pigs named Tweak and Renfield plus the Iron Paw Kitten that runs this household ragged, Arabella. I'm an astrologer and psychic by trade---Poser person for relaxation and I create characters for Poser---just to feed the habit.
I am a Premier artist over at Renderotica as well as being top tester over there for the last five years. I also test for various merchants here at Rosity and am available to do testing---just send a site mail. I tend to be very thorough, though---so if you are looking for someone to really dig and find any problems--- then I'm the one. :)

Now we have one Fila. Shiva died from old age Saturday, October 20th, 2007 at 5:45 AM. She was going to be 17 on February 25, 2008. I can't believe what an enormous hole she left in our house. It's like the heart of the house is gone.
And now we have a kitten---see above. The Incredible Miss Itty Bitty Pretty Shitty Kitty Mitty Maow Maow, AKA Arabella and a few other colorful names I won't mention here out of a sense of decorum. She has miles and MILES of attitude...

Oh yes... the sound of silence. Things like tall poppies comes to mind actually. The moment one stands above the rest, it is cut down to size very quickly. I know... Rendo has to play by the rules... just, there is no justice on the internet. I couldn't even get a lawyer and go to court with a judge and jury and present a case. Democracy is dead, dictatorship is alive and thrashing. I guess we better get use to it. Thanks Laura... many a true word is spoken in silence.

There are rules and there is stupidity. I think Renderosity is losing sight of the large picture; they can certainly request (or even pull) images that they don't want to host, but banning is ridiculous, even for a short time. That's just insulting.

Nice image and I know what your talking about too. It is sad when there are some with such narrow views of what art is and get offended by certian images.. if they dont like them they dont have to look at them..or comment on them. I agree to ban is just stupid!!

Powerful Image and Silence... with no words said. That's what a true visual artist is.. Five star for the spirit of the image! Though I had not seen the picture, from the comments and public feedback, there seem a consensus on this matter. Called it public conscience. So, despite the good intent of the rules. I hope the people at Rendo who make unilateral judgement can take heed. But isn't it hard to take a vested power away from someone that has served as a self-appointed judgement by a "autocractic regime"... Call it technological power in our civilizations in this "first world cyber age" , but human power in "3rd world medieval age"..

As I said: There are masses of pictures that show the same pose and a cross in the galleries - except the fact that most of these crosses are decrated with celtic knots (but they are still crosses). And then one of them, IMHO the most thoughtful and artistic one causes a ban. Is this something I MUST understand?!

Laura, This is very powerful work, but of course I would expect nothing less from you. I've been out of the loop for a couple of days, but I know about Rendo's heavy handed practices from personal experience. I am seriously considering removing all of my work from Rendo. I am so tired of the uneven and inconsistant application of the rules, as well as how ridiculous some of the rules are. This is not conducive to an artistic environment. I may not be the greatest of artists, but I have also held back many works because of the render nazis. If any one has interest in developing a more open site, and getting out from under the thumb of the rendo folks, write to me. There has to be a better way. BiggDevo
