Description
these was in training when I got there. They went thought the drill and then they broke up; got the fire going for coffee and play on the banjo some. They then told me of the battle down the road so i took off to where the battle was at.
I had the focus on the young man as he looked at me here but as I took the shot the man in front lower or rise his gun. Lol lost the shot but it still the best one out of 60 other shots of them doing they drill. note the movement in the photo too. i think I had it on low speed at the time as I had it on manul len. It was a old len 70mmx280mm and I had to have the camera on manul.
these guys will be in the battle the next day as the battle is two or three days long. South did win this small battle here in Mansfields, lousisana USA. just in case you wish to google it

Even though it didn't go as planned, it is an excellent shot. Maybe all the better because of the movement .. more of a sense of reality.
