a simple & beautiful dahlia, one that looks a bit tired or napping; the stamens are drooping a bit. Nice relaxed quality, and nice dark background as a foil. I'd not have guessed a dahlia, but really, my knowledge of flower categories bites the grand wazoo. (Bet ya haven't heard that expression in a while...)
