Description
We’ve been several times for our holiday in Chippenham, Wiltshire. Stay there by our friend, the English watercolor painter, Bob Rudd. (look for his website, its worthed)
Its nearby the very picturesque Cotswold’s, and Castle Combe is one of these romantic villages.
Castle Combe is often called 'the prettiest village in England'.
This drawing is my impression of the fourteenth century market cross, situated where three main streets converge and with an old water pump beside it
Hope you like it

Strange, I thought of Castle Combe before looking or reading! It is a beautiful village and I long since lead a ramble there as part of the Bath Festival.
