Hi All,
My name is Tracey and I live in Oxfordshire, England. I've been a keen photographer since I was able to prize my Dad's camera off him as a child, which wasn't easy IÂ can tell you, and the photos were rather blurred. If my memory serves me correctly he soon took it back! LOL
I've just invested in a digital SLR (heaven!) I had a compact digital camera but I always loved the memory of my old 35mm SLR. I'm having such fun with it, I hope you enjoy the photos I post from my learning curve!

I am afraid I cannot help re which species of butterfly it is Tracey. It is a great capture, and thank goodness the butterfly got away. I see lots of spiders like these at this time of year, they leave their webs everywhere in my garden and I am forever brushing them out of my hair hugs Jane xx

I've looked up the butterfly on a web site and I think it's 'pararge aegeria' more commonly known as 'speckled wood'
