Description

Well it will be in a mo' My first real attempt at 'Natural Media' This effort started life in Bryce and then I 'painted' loads of stuff over the top... Now I don't know if this is a rather pretentious approach, and will result in a frenzy of art critique slapping or not. But to me it's all just a means to an end...yes? no!? Anyway, just tell me what you see, so I will know if I was successful or not. Take Care. Rob.

Heck yes... All creative avenues are open! :-) Besides, doing base work with one tool - photos, renders, stock, etc. - and the post-working with other tools - from photoshop to brushes to airbrush, etc. - is a well established technique. Not only is the end result stunning, but you're on very solid artistic ground, historically speaking.

Very cool! As for starting something in Bryce (or any other 3D program) I'd say "do what you want, the way you want". Considering how much post-working I do in Photoshop of my own renders, I'm hardly one to criticize anyone else for doing it... Besides, what's the point of doing digital art if you can't take advantage of the flexibility of the digital medium and all of the wonderful tools available?

Very cool and great sci-fi creation. Is the method not part of the creative process?
