Description

A fancy was considered the highlight of an auction, one that usually took place in a gentlemens club. She would go to the highest bidder. What's sad, is that this ugly occurance has not been left behind in our historical past. And if that's not enough, not only is it still going on today, but going on today, in the good ol'USA! How disgraceful is that? Only difference now, doesn't matter what color you are - black, white, Asian, Spanish, a woman/girl is still kidnapped against her will, and goes to the highest bidder. Only thing in this world that has changed, is modern technology, the computer age, so that everything can be done faster, and longer in secret. Slavery has not yet ended, it has just metamorphisized into various forms. Ask your minimum wage earner without health insurance, without a home to call their own, with no future prospects of ever being able to retire. Enough said... ::Credits:: Victoria 4.2 complete Liquid Rust's Cherry Cola aka Mz Fevah Medieval Tavern by Faveral

The profound and sickening thought of it Sis. And sadly yes the truth of this horrible , unjust matter. That said, this is an outstanding image. Your character is beautiful and the scene is a Mercedes scene indeed. Always just right. Bravo!!!!

You really strike home with this image that draws one in and they your words that sink straight to the heart. The worst forms of slavery are the most obvious of course that we so often choose to ignore. Your point is well made about other forms as well. For when you get to the place where your paying 60-70 % of your income in taxes to the local & federal governments in reality are you free.

Beautiful image. Very disturbing commentary. I do not think we will ever be free of slavery of some sort or another, which is a very sad statement for the human condition.

never heard of this before. what a terrible practice, shameful and criminal. You've created an awesome artwork to illustrate how the victim feels.

Good work and socially relevant. Evil occurs on an ongoing basis and some of our most "righteous" leaders are in the thick of it but show the public a mask of lies.

My first thought was what a beautiful image but then I read what was behind it and cried. The practice still does continue and it seems that we hear more every day. Thanks Mercedes for bringing it to our attention again. Still the image is beautifully made and is most excellent

I agree Very well done, on all levels. The truth is we have not changed:( we are just being lead to think these issues are past mistakes, yeh right! tell that to the 13yr old shooting up and doing things that adults would not think of to get there next fix. We are still in the dark ages, war sex and crime sell and our children seem to be left behind in some cases. Very sad and inhuman in most cases, But we can make this world a better place one person at a time:) by giving out hope and positive thoughts is a start... CHEERs PS..Love your work always a treat....

Very, very nice. The V4 Morph is very beautiful, subtle enuff to be real. Background objects give it a detail that adds to the realism. Great work...

I second you vent... I feel today you just don't get paid an honest wage for work the is necessary for a business to run... it's horrible... I go to work 6 out of 7 days just so I can pay my bills.... I haven't been able to afford the things that would get me a better life... It really is sad when you're a hard worker willing to take a low paying job and think in 90 days you'll get that raise... My 90 days have come and gone, I've been here half a year... was told I recieve 100% for what I do for the business... shortly after that, I was told by my boss, the man that did the suprise inspection is from out of state and HAS NEVER given a 100% score... do you think I got a raise??? I'm barely above minimum wage.... picture looks well thought out and made.

The lady is stunning. The subject is disturbing and thought provoking. It is true that slavery and particularly the selling of young women still occurs. Many of these sales are to wealthy middle eastern scum. In these countries where all of the rights belong to men, and women are treated as property, there is little hope of freedom, unless the people rise up. thank yo Ms. Keyes for making us think a little deeper. i would love to rant a bout the injustice of slavery and oppression to women mostly asian. but i think that it has been covered but i disagree alittle on minimum wage jobs we are seperated by class and status not the way they have in your country but england is the root. wages are based on education and until education is valued more than objects the playing field will not be even world wide.... i have more to say but i suck at typing. oh by the way im chuffed to bits over this image.
