Sumptuous. Yes, that's the best word for this image. Sumptuous yet well subdued so that we are left curiously wondering what other lavish delights surround this scene. Lit like a fine, old painting is this lady who could easily be from Poe's imagination. Your shadow craft is excellent here and appropriately used. Keeping the palette singular focuses our attention exactly where it belongs, upon that classical face and that engaging gaze. Setting her just slightly off-center plays very well with the pose and camera angle. Details. Yeah, that's it! Even the subtle border works well. I guess I like it. ;-) It's nice to have found you!
